Processus d’examen et de sélection des présentations du comité d’éducation

The IAEE Education Committee consists of members that are recognized as industry leaders with many years of industry experience. The committee’s role is to review, plan and evaluate IAEE’s education programming for Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting and Exhibition.

Le processus de sélection implique un examen de chaque complet presentation submitted prior to the deadline. Completed submissions include profile information for each speaker (i.e., bio, photo, references), session descriptions, actionable learning objectives, details on audience interactive activities, and a session overview video.

All presentations are selected based on the information submitted. Those who submit are expected to follow all instructions carefully and provide all requested information. Les dossiers incomplets ne seront pas pris en compte. La grammaire, la ponctuation, etc. appropriées sont également examinées au cours de ce processus.

En règle générale, plus de présentations sont soumises que ce qui peut être accepté. Seules les meilleures présentations sont sélectionnées pour Expo ! Expo ! Réunion annuelle et exposition de l'IAEE.

Do you have knowledge and experience to inspire others to build and create better and more engaging trade shows and events? If so, you are invited to submit an education session via the call for proposals for the 2026 Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting and Exhibition 16-18 November in Milwaukee, WI.

Expo! Expo! is a diverse, interactive experience that fosters an environment of thought leadership, best practices, and innovation. Expo! Expo! is the industry’s foremost face-to-face network for exhibition and event industry professionals and the gateway to the decision-makers for the $94 Billion exhibitions (2024) and events industry, with 9 out of 10 attendees having a role in purchasing decisions. Attendees include owners, executives, directors, and managers from organizations that organize a wide variety of events, including many of the largest exhibitions in North America and from over fifty countries worldwide. Come share knowledge and business expertise through a unique and valuable speaking opportunity.

Critères à soumettre

  • LES ORGANISATEURS – Member and non-member organizers may submit for consideration to present.
  • FOURNISSEURS MEMBRES – Fournisseurs membres de l’IAEE who are paid exhibitors at Expo! Expo! peut soumettre à l'examen des propositions présentées et sont tenus d’inclure un organisateur comme co-présentateur dans une présentation au format d’étude de cas. The organizer may be either an IAEE member or a non-member organizer and should be the main presenter of content during the presentation.
  • FOURNISSEURS NON MEMBRES – Fournisseurs non membres who are paid exhibitors at Expo! Expo! peut soumettre à l'examen des propositions présentées et sont tenus d’inclure un organisateur comme co-présentateur dans une présentation au format d’étude de cas. The organizer may be either an IAEE member or a non-member organizer. Non-Member Suppliers ceux qui n'exposent PAS ne peuvent pas parler a l'événement.
  • Politique relative aux conférenciers externes – Les conférenciers non professionnels de l’industrie peuvent soumettre leur candidature à une présentation. Il s'agit d'intervenants professionnels extérieurs dont l'activité principale est de parler et qui sont pas membres de l'AIEE. L'IAEE a toute discrétion quant aux personnes qualifiées pour cette catégorie de conférenciers.

Critères de sélection des présentations

Les soumissions de présentations sont évaluées selon les critères suivants :

  1. Soumission complète de la présentation, soumise dans les délais.
  2. Le niveau d’apprentissage de la session est adapté au public et au sujet.
  3. Identification of three actionable learner outcomes that showcase what knowledge participants will walk out of the session with. Each listed after this verbiage Learning Objectives:
  4. Le contenu est ciblé, actuel, pratique ou innovant et doit permettre aux participants d'appliquer l'apprentissage dans des situations réelles.
  5. Each session is required to have attendee engagement activities or interactions. Therefore, each presentation proposal must include details on what each activity or engagement will include. (See Below – Session Delivery Format Section)
  6. L'éducation peut être envisagée et dispensée sous différents formats en fonction du format final de l'événement. Voir ci-dessous pour les formats spécifiques pour différents types de soumissions de session.

Expectations for Session Content and Audience Engagement

IAEE requires that every session includes facilitation of content delivery and group discussions, along with engagement elements such as small group discussions and exercises. Presentations cannot be solely “talking heads” or one-way lectures. Instead, speakers must design their sessions to include meaningful opportunities for interaction amongst attendees as well as interaction between presenter(s)/panelists and attendees.

This means:

  • Presenters should convey key content clearly but also foster discussions among attendees.
  • Proposals must specify how you will incorporate interactive activities or discussions during your session.
  • Your submission should outline your plan for facilitating shared discussions, group activities, or other engagement methods that encourage community building.
  • IAEE staff will review and discuss your proposed engagement strategies during a pre-event speaker call if your session is selected. Speakers must have planned activities that demonstrate speaker’s ability to incorporate such activities and elements of content delivery.

Exécutif (niveau C – cadre supérieur – vice-président)

  • Une session de ce niveau peut couvrir des idées, des recherches, des technologies et des sujets stratégiques et complexes et convient mieux aux professionnels expérimentés du secteur.

Gérant (Gérant – Directeur)

  • L'apprenant suppose une solide connaissance des concepts de l'industrie.
  • L'apprenant possède un haut niveau de compétence dans la gestion de spectacles et la direction de projets et de personnes.
  • Une session à ce niveau peut décrire des systèmes et des procédures sur des sujets moyennement complexes.

Personnel (Administratif – Coordonnateur – Étudiant)

  • L'apprenant suppose une connaissance de base des concepts de l'industrie.
  • L'apprenant possède des connaissances et des compétences de base mais peut ou non gérer des spectacles ou des personnes.
  • Une session à ce niveau présente un aperçu des concepts et des fonctionnalités et convient mieux aux nouveaux professionnels.
